Snorkel in Paradise: Explore the Pristine Waters of Mango Bay Guide
Mango Bay, located on the north side of Koh Tao, is a picturesque bay renowned for its exceptional snorkeling and diving opportunities. The shallow, clear waters are teeming with vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life, making it a haven for underwater enthusiasts. The bay is sheltered, providing calm conditions ideal for both beginners and experienced snorkelers. Mango Bay's history is intertwined with the development of tourism on Koh Tao. Initially a secluded and relatively unknown spot, its natural beauty and abundant marine life gradually attracted visitors. Over time, it has become a popular destination, but efforts have been made to preserve its pristine environment and protect its delicate ecosystem. The primary activity in Mango Bay is snorkeling. Rent a mask and snorkel from one of the local shops and explore the colorful coral reefs just a few meters from the shore. You can also take a guided snorkeling tour to discover the best spots and learn about the local marine life. Diving is also popular, with several dive sites located within the bay. After your swim, relax on the beach, soak up the sun, and enjoy the stunning views. While there are limited dining options directly on Mango Bay beach, nearby restaurants offer a variety of Thai dishes.

You can negotiate a price with a boat operator at either location. Alternatively, you can rent a scooter and drive to Mango Bay, but be aware that the road is steep, unpaved in sections, and requires confident driving skills.
